About

Somebody took the time to help me find my voice and strength, and I want to help you find yours. Maybe that voice that has been buried under years of pain and trauma, or perhaps has been subject to years of neglect. We can find your voice together.

Pains, struggles, shame, traumas, and the injustices we endure makes us feel we are alone in the world. Sometimes, we need someone to step in and remind us how interconnected human beings are. And how nobody can do it alone.

And here is how we will work together

I listen deeply to what you are saying with words and with your body. I listen deeply to what you are not saying but is at the tip of your tongue or maybe you are scared to say out-loud. And I listen deeply to my own intuition and body as you speak. I offer you my version of the truth with kindness and compassion. I gently nudge you to pay attention to your experience, explore your psyche with curiosity, and ponder out loud the complicated journey of being a human being.

I do not believe in easy, quick answers. I do not believe that I can solve your problems faster or better than you can. What I can offer you is an honest, real, and compassionate presence that will help you as you feel pain and ‘stuckness’. I can offer you a curious and open mind. I can curse with you and I can laugh with you. And together we will pay attention to the deepest parts of your experience that will help you hear your innate wise voice.

While my therapeutic experience is varied, what has remained consistent is my commitment to growing as a therapist and a human being by doing my own work. I regularly attend workshops and seminars to stay current and challenge the ways privileges in my life have benefited me, and perhaps left me ignorant and unaware of the pain and struggle of others. I identify as a cis white immigrant woman.

I have worked with: adults struggling with chronic and lifelong mental disorders; teens and adults struggling with substance abuse in a residential program and a methadone clinic. I also have experience working in a community mental health setting with folks struggling with everyday struggles.
